Location updated from Coach House Cafe to main church as we will be preparing the club's Chrsitmas tree.
This month the book is Music and Silence by Rose Tremain. We'll talk about the book informally for a bit, exploring what we liked and didnt like then we go onto more general discussion about other things we've read and seen and whatever else comes up! In the year 1629, a young English lutenist named Peter Claire arrives at the Danish Court to join King Christian IV's Royal Orchestra. Designated the King's 'Angel' because of his good looks, he finds himself falling in love with the young woman who is the companion of the King's adulterous and estranged wife, Kirsten. The book won Best Novel at the 1999 Whitbread Awards.
