Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults
‘You are here to defend the defenceless,
to make sure that the underdog gets a fair break;
Your job is to stand up for the powerless,
and prosecute all those who exploit them'
Psalm 82 v 3 – 4’
As a Christian community in South Croydon we recognise that all are created in the image of God. As we strive to protect the vulnerable and to build each other up in love, we are committed to following legislation and government/denominational guidelines in the safeguarding of children and adults in need of protection, including safer recruitment of workers.
We work to a formal safeguarding policy, which is available from the noticeboard outside the Vestry at church (near corridor entrance to sanctuary) or you can click here.
Here is the briefer 'overview' Safeguarding Statement, agreed by the Elders (Trustees) of St Paul's.
If you have any concerns about the safety or welfare of a child or an adult in need of protection, please contact our Safeguarding Co-ordinator, Sue Eardley (Contact Us).
