Sunday Worship
10:30am Sunday Worship
We are a small friendly congregation and we usually worship on Sunday mornings with the service starting at 10:30am and finishing between 11:30 and 11:45.
Worship is a mix of singing, hearing and responding to scripture, a sermon or reflection, prayers, wonderful music and the use of pictures, videos etc to give thanks to God, to explore our faith in Jesus Christ, and to feel the Spirit moving among us.
Services to mark Lent, Holy Week and Easter, Advent and Christmas, Pentecost, Remembrance Sunday, as well as services to explore issues of social justice are marked every year.
Children & Young People
We offer a creche facility on Sunday mornings for our youngest people and we also offer Junior Church for those aged 6 through to 18.
Junior Church members worship with the main congregation for the first part of the Sunday service and they then leave for their own activities.
Holy Communion
We celebrate communion within the service on the first Sunday of the month, at Pentecost and on Easter Day.
After the service
Following the Sunday morning service, we normally offer light refreshments in our church hall for a chat and fellowship. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are served with biscuits and often cake. We celebrate birthdays on the third Sunday of the month.
Music
We have a small pop-up choir that sings at Christmas and other occasional services and we would welcome anyone who would like to come and sing with us.
St Paul's replaced its magnificent, but elderly Lewis organ in 2022 with a high specification Allen digital alternative, which fills our sanctuary with beautiful sound.
So, if you are looking for a church in the South Croydon area
please come along to a Sunday morning service and give us a try.
