Events at St Paul's

We're running most of our events 'virtually' following government guidelines.  You're welcome to join any of them, or just call us for a chat

Drumming Workshop - online Saturday 21 November 4.50pm

Join us to get that inner rhythm going and unleash your inner percussionist in lockdown times

(or just have a load of fun making some noise!)

It's on Zoom but booking is required as numbers are limited.  An hour's drumming and then time for a chat afterwards.

All ages welcome - no skill required - although we may identify some!!

Donations welcome to cover the cost, details to follow

Be ready with your home made instruments - anything you can bang or shake safely!  To book contact Cathy Heath on info@stpaulsurc.org.uk

Christmas hope and prayer time with 1000 stars

Tues 15 Dec. 4.30-6pm  Thurs 17 Dec. 7.30-9pm  Sat 19 Dec 6.30-8pm

Subject to Government guidelines we aim to open our beautiful church for you to spend time in prayer and reflection enjoying wonderful music under a canopy of stars - reminding us of the star that shone in Bethlehem.

We are taking bookings to ensure that attendance is spaced out and we will be following track and trace and all covid-safety measures. We'll contact you when you book to arrange an arrival time that suits you - we expect people to stay for around 15-20 minutes but it's up to you. We can accommodate up to 25 individuals/households safely distanced.

You can also just turn up but might have to wait a few minutes for space to enter.

 Book here on Eventbrite

Barnabas Meets - (on Zoom rather than physically during November) - As we are not able to meet for coffee after our Sunday worship we 'pop up' during the week at Lloyds Park Cafe outdoors, 2m distanced in groups of no more than six for a chat and coffee. Dates and times vary so contact us if you fancy joining our friendly group.

Previous event -  Wine tasting online 17 October

The wonderful Autumn wine tasting organised by Dennis and Pat went online with 48 people receiving their  own personal tasting pack of the wines and nibbles we’re tasting, to enjoy online together from home with ‘table groups’ and Dennis’s inspiring commentary on the wines via Zoom as we went through the evening.  With a raffle and eight wines to taste, we raised a surplus of £282.66 towards transforming our beautiful stained glass saints for all to enjoy.  The picture shows 'before and after' as we renew the 30-year old yellowing window protectors with clear acrylic.
